1 month!

So, from the title, I have exactly one more month till I leave! ONE MORE MONTHHH????? I still can't decide whether thats too early or too slow, but I guess when the time comes, I'll look back and see how fast time flew. I also still dont know if I will miss Penang or not.....On one hand, i don't like much about Penang except for food and my friends, but on the other, I've lived in Penang for most of my life. And on my third hand, ive got a box of cookies because i love cookies, and I specially attached a third hand on to me just for this purpose. HMMMM, not a bad idea for my biomedical engineering course. A third hand just for cookies! I'm sure everyone would love it!
     But boy oh boy, am i ready to go! I did all my shopping last week in KL at super duper amazing prices =D Although the trip was meant for the visa, this is what it felt like:

I bought so much stuff i think i lost track of everything. BUT WHO CARESSS? (Confessions of a shopaholic.)
   I also met my new Imperial buddies! They're not as nerdy as i expected them to be, well MOSTLY. They were pretty cool and fun, so thats a good sign. Sigh, can't wait till I go. But in the meantime, Im leaving for KL tonight to attend the Imperial camp tomorrow! YAYYYY
Mosquito repellant? CHECK
Extra clothes? CHECK
Sports stuff? CHECK
Super unhealthy snacks to share around and bribe people to become your friends? HECK YEA

And off a camping we go!

43 days to go!

Well, I blew up today, and boy did it feel good. So after days of neverending arguing with my mom about my visa, i finally decided to just do whatever useless things she tells me to do because that was just less hassle. And so i did.
Photocopying every single document 3-5 times (including every single page of all of my passports) all by myself using the stupid home printer, eventhough I dont need to? DONE, with no second thoughts. 
Writing a cover letter listing down all the documents provided plus other stuff eventhough its completely useless? CHECK THAT (her argument was that the cover letter proved that i supplied all the documents..so does that mean if i write ONE ORIGINAL PONY (Serial No. 2453523534), it proves i submitted a pony?)
Rephotocopying a few stuff because theres a tiny ink blotch on the corners of the already useless photocopies? Ok..fine...whatever....
Asking and accusing me why I listed my photocopied IC on the cover letter and telling me that i dont need it, eventhough she told me to photocopy it 5 times and recopy it again, and shouted at me when i told her we didnt have to submit a photocopied IC? Um....................
 Accusing me of being slow and that all my friends have already done it, eventhough thats not even remotely true? (only yi an has done it. in fact, the rest are asking me for my help. Also, i told her that yi an said they gave back all the useless documents that i already knew were useless. But she was like 'why are you listening to your friends?' Eventhough shes the one obeying everything that her friend says. AND, if we didnt have to do any of these useless stuff that you asked me to do, we could've done it by now) Just slowly breathe in and out..........
Talking and acting like a know it all, while saying how lazy and ignorant I am, eventhough logic and the official website completely contradicts what shes saying? THAT'S IT FUCK IT!!!!!
    And thats when I blew up. She took it....differently than what i expected. She acted as if nothing had happened. And thats NOT a good thing. She just completely ignored everything i said, and just continued the visa application same as usual.
   Well, I tried. I really did. But at least I won one argument. Just one. But that felt GOOOOODDDDDDDDDDDD.

  Anyways, i know some of you are just YEARNING for some more food stuff, so to continue my food blog trend.....here is the lemon meringue pie that we baked in Janet's place! (more photos to be uploaded on fb)

And im leaving for KL in 2 days to do my visa (FINALLYY) and then staying on for an Imperial dinner and camp! So exciteddddd!!! Plus, i get to do more shopping in KL in between! WHoooooo

But first, my piano diploma's tomorrow morning. AARGHHHHHHH] sehwbwergwergw
 Well, my moms telling me to re-do my cover because shes being a picky prick.

Contemplation on a Cheesecake

OK, fine, I'll admit. This really is becoming a food blog. But SO WHAT? DEAL WITH IT. Who doesn't love to look at pics of yummy food? So anyways, I finally made a White Chocolate Cheesecake that I discovered when Mrs Hollis baked one for our english class. I've never really liked cheesecake before (cheese in cake? blech), but after that white chocolate cheesecake, I turned to the dark side. My secret cravings for this rich dessert has finally been unleashed to the world!! Feel my wrath!! Mwahahahahahaha. Anyways, I've been planing it out ever since, and i finally made it. WHOOOO Another thing i can check off my to do list. PROCRASTINATION IN YOUR FACE!  I added in my own home made strawberry compote as well, so technically its a white chocolate strawberry cheesecake. So Steph and Sheng, here is the pic! (Its a little more yellow than it really is):

I forgot to leave some strawberries for garnishing so i put blueberries instead :P So technically, its a white chocolate strawberry blueberry cheesecake (or WhiCh StraBluCh. haha. haha.). The cheesecake was great, but not as good as Mrs Hollis's.....:( I HAVE to get her recipe, but she kept forgetting during exams.. sigh. Whyyyyyyy?????
  And now that i've cooked/baked most of the stuff i wanted to, im stuck on what to make....Well, i am thinking of making macarons again, and creme brulee as well. French desserts FTW! But the last time i made macarons, it took me nearly the whole day, and only 15.61% of them were successful. Yep, I counted each one of them, and calculated the ratio of unsuccessful macarons: successful macarons. Looks like those pesky integration by parts in Math HL came in handy after all! (it took me 10mins to remember the name)
   So I had this cheesecake with my cousins during dinner. Can't believe its one of the last times i'll be seeing them before i go off for uni. Ahh, the bittersweetness of going off to university. But I still can't wait!!!!! It'll be nice to have a fresh start. I'll start a countdown now! 48 days to go before I leave. WHATTTTT 48 days!????? I can't decide whether thats too long, or too short.....So i'm now bipolar and have adhd. Not a good sign. Perks of being a post IB student maybe?. CURSE YOU, open mindedness is NOT something that should be on the IB learner profile.
      Well, uni will just have to wait. But in the meantime, TO THE KITCHEN!!!! Well, actually to Janet's kitchen. She's having a 'Bake with Jason' session. Lols. Gosh, makes me feel like a professional chef. I hope i dont mess up her kitchen. But if i do, then i'll flee the country. I'll be one of those fugitives on the run from a crazy woman.
  And I still hate the UK visa.
